Procedures for Amending a Law

  1. Once it is felt that a particular law needs to be amended, the Attorney General's Chambers is asked to draft the Amendment Bill.

  2. This Amendment Bill is taken to Parliament where it is debated and then passed like any other Bill.

  3. It then enters into force after it is assented to by the Governor General and then published in the Gazette.
